Bruce Braden has been a visionary partner to MarinHealth, beginning with the establishment of the Braden Diabetes Center in 2013. His recent gift represents another transformative step in expanding access to world-class care for individuals facing complex metabolic and progressive illnesses.
“We are profoundly grateful to Bruce Braden for his unwavering support and extraordinary generosity,” said David G. Klein, MD, CEO of MarinHealth. “His investment in our mission has helped us bring state-of-the-art metabolic care to our community, ensuring that patients receive the specialized, compassionate care they deserve – close to home.”
Located within MarinHealth Medical Center, the newly named Bruce Braden Progressive & Metabolic Care Unit is dedicated to treating patients with complex metabolic conditions, including advanced diabetes-related complications. The unit brings together expert clinicians, advanced monitoring technology, and an interdisciplinary approach designed to improve outcomes and quality of life.
“It’s an honor to support the MarinHealth team and help ensure that all families in our region have access to outstanding metabolic care,” said Braden. “I’m proud to continue partnering with an organization that shares my commitment to improving lives through innovation, compassion, and clinical excellence.”
Braden’s philanthropic leadership has played a critical role in shaping MarinHealth’s ability to care for the whole patient—treating not only the physical challenges of chronic illness but also providing education, empowerment, and long-term support for patients and their families.
“This new unit stands as a symbol of what is possible when visionary donors and dedicated caregivers come together in service of community health,” added David Klein, MD. “Bruce’s name will forever be linked with advancing care, hope, and healing for generations to come.”
The new name will be reflected across signage, materials, and digital channels in the coming weeks.
