Los Angeles, CA - In a bustling office near downtown Los Angeles, a small group of healing arts advocates gathered last year with a shared vision: to professionalize the rapidly growing field of non-invasive, non-medical body contouring. Today, the dream takes shape as the National Body Contouring Council (NABCC) proudly announces the upcoming launch of its new credential, the Board Certified Body Contouring Practitioner (BCBCP), set to debut in September or October of 2025.
The NABCC aims to fill a critical gap in the healing arts industry, which has seen a 13.4% annual growth rate as demand for non-surgical lymphatic drainage body treatments and skin treatments soars. “The non-invasive body contouring business deserves a specialized credential that creates educated, trained, and knowledgeable practitioners,” said the NABCC’s corporate team. “Our mission is to ensure practitioners meet bench mark standards, receive exceptional initial and continuing education, participate in live training presentations and submitted a fingerprint clearance giving consumers confidence in their expertise and care.”
The BCBCP credential will open doors for job creation in medical spas, wellness centers, and independent practices across the U.S., offering these professionals a pathway to elevate their careers. NABCC’s certification program includes a comprehensive curriculum with six modules, covering techniques like wood and metal body sculpting therapy, gua sha techniques, LED light therapy, body scrubs and cupping alongside holistic wellness practices such as stress management, breathing exercises and nutritional guidance among other pathways for non invasive, non medical body contouring. Ongoing education is a cornerstone of the program, requiring practitioners to view 6 hours of continuing education podcast viewing credits every year to stay current with industry advancements.
The NABCC recognizes that every great vocation needs a recognized credential to justify their professionalism and gain consumer trustability, but the BCBCP is so much more than just enrolling to be in a database to gain a certificate. The BCBCP credential signifies initial and ongoing education, training and mandates a background, fingerprint clearance. The program will also have a mechanism for lodging consumer complaints, a jobs directory, a searchable database for consumers to confirm their practitioner’s credentials and an Annual NABCC Body Con Convention for Body Contourers.
Education and training never can stop for successful people and vocations and the NABCC has just entered the arena for this very important and marketplace desired service to elevate the non invasive, non medical body contouring profession to it’s deserved heights.
The program shall be available online in several different languages, consist of 6 Learning Modules with Quizzes, Hands on CPR Awareness Certificate of Completion, Blood Borne Pathogen Training and a mandatory final exam.
Upon pre launch, NABCC will seek a limited number of founding practitioners to form the NABCC Occupational Committee, a group tasked with shaping the future of the credential and ensuring its alignment with industry needs.
Interested professionals are encouraged to follow the NABCC on instagram for the window of opportunity opening date to become an Occupational Committee Founding Member. https://www.instagram.com/nabcc_ or visit the website: www.nationalbodycontouringcouncil.org
Future practitioners must meet specific requirements. They must be at least 18 years old, pass a fingerprint clearance, and possess a working smart cell phone or tablet to conduct business with, ensuring accessibility and professionalism in client interactions. The BCBCP credential will set a new standard for non-invasive body contouring, empowering practitioners to deliver safe, effective services while adhering to their own state regulations.
The NABCC is currently reaching out to all 50 states’ Medical Boards to get a determination on what is legally considered a medical grade machine and what machines are permittable. The persistent gray areas around permissible equipment and treatments were one of the major catalysts for the creation of the BCBCP credential. The NABCC will be the leader and forefront the advocacy of non invasive, non medical body contouring practitioners and aim to clarify the ambiguity for legal treatments and equipment.
With a target launch date of September-October 2025, the NABCC is poised to transform the non invasive, non medical healing arts industry, creating opportunities for job growth and professional development for solo and entrepreneurs, job seekers and health and wellness enthusiasts. The vocational education model is changing. And instead of making another expensive program, the NABCC has capped this program’s costs for the next 3 years and instead will provide a super affordable and quality driven vocational entity.
The BCBCP program fee is $395.00 initially and $75.00 for each annual renewal (includes continuing education).
